Justice Delayed is Justice Denied

Today a high court bench in Portugal has orderd cancellation of extraction of Abu Salem to India and ordered Indian Government to return him back. He is one of the prime accused in 1993 Mumbai Blasts. He was given to India with an assurance that he will not be sentenced to death or serve jail term in excess of 25 years

He was given to India in 2005 and in these 6 years our government could have completed the trial and courts could have given him jail term for 24 years and 11 months. So lazy is our government, investigating agencies and courts that we are going to send back a dreaded criminal

Jnanapith Awards

Jnanapith awards were announced last week and renowned Kannada writer Kambar has been honoured with the award this year. It is good to see that Kannada writers are getting this awards quite frequently, but my it is quite ironic that no one from the tamil literary world has been honoured with this award so far.

So good for a Classical language

I had a Dream Last Night

In my dream, i wrote a letter to the Prime Minister and also to Sonia Gandhi requesting them i want to address the Parliament as a "Common Man". The dream continued as i started addressing the Lok Sabha with all the members presiding in.

I called upon the Chief Justice of India also to be there and also the 'Hang Man' from Tihar as well. First I called upon the MP from Assam who is a serial killer in neighbouring Burma and came to India as an asylum seeker, then started his sex trade across the border and later became MP under Congress Ticket. His name was there in all newspapers and no action was taken against him. I called upon the CJI to sign an order to hang him to death which he did immediately and the PM giving his ascent to do that immediately. The hang man executed the order immediately.

Next, i called upon Suresh Kalmadi (now probably living with temporary memory) and asked him the money he looted. As he is suffering from temporary memory loss he did not replied. Then I asked CJI to order hanging and he screemed and all those memory loss vanished. He was also hanged. Then came Azharuddin who for all the good playing skills cheated the country through betting. As a child i watched him play and always admired him for his cricketing skills. Be he also was not spared.

Now Lalu was called upon and by this time he was on all tears. But my mission continued and next in line were Chidambaram, Raja and Kanimozhi. Suddenly after 1 hour i saw the Parliament was 50% empty

Now i was in tears and i was ashamed that i was so irresponsible that i elected these people to Parliament and realized that it is not these so called leaders who are at fault, but the common man who is at fault

I, as an individual has to change as Gandhi said, If you want change, be the change"
